Job Description Summary
The Technology Business Analyst acts as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that the organization's technology solutions align with business needs. This role requires a propensity for analyzing complex problems, defining system requirements, documenting processes, troubleshooting issues, and recommending options to improve efficiency and drive value.
Job Description
Gathering and Documenting Requirements:
Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs.
Translating business requirements into functional specifications
Document technical requirements and create technical specifications for development teams
Process Improvement:
Analyzing current workflows and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Proposing solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity.
Evaluate existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Propose solutions for optimizing processes to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
Project Support:
Working closely with project managers and technical teams during project planning, execution, and delivery.
Ensuring solutions meet defined objectives and are delivered on time.
Assist project team in gathering additional requirements when gaps are identified.
Quality Assurance:
Support testing efforts by developing a comprehensive UAT test plan and assisting the business in creating test cases.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) activities, including defect tracking and resolution to ensure a smooth testing process
Communication:
Facilitating clear communication between business units and IT teams.
Preparing presentations, and documentation for stakeholders.
Change Management:
Assess the impact of changes to requirements and help manage scope creep.
Assist in developing training materials and help documents for new or revised systems
Business Architecture:
Assist in putting focus on Value Streams and Customer Journeys
Designing value streams and customer experience maps.
Identify how business capabilities deliver value to stakeholders.
Continuous Learning:
Staying updated on industry trends, tools, and methodologies.
Developing skills to bring innovative ideas to the organization.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
- Requires Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Art in Business, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent education and experience. Preferred to have a Master of Business Administration.
- 3+ years’ experience in business analysis, design and controls development.
- Proven expertise in monitoring the effectiveness of business processes and controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex processes into clear, understandable, and operationally viable controls.
- Proficient in process mapping and business process management tools (e.g., Visio).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
- Self-starter with an innovative mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project development methodologies.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role is listed below.Pay Rate or Range: $78,520.00 - $117,790.00
