Job Description Summary
This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all equipment located in and around the facility including but not limited to: Fire Suppression and Monitoring Systems, Overhead Doors, Walk-through Doors, Gates, Building and Grounds, Bathrooms and for performing Facility Maintenance functions throughout the plant as assigned or directed by Management personnel, while working with limited supervision. In addition, a Level II will work with Contractors to obtain quotes for Facility Work as needed, complete AIG Impairment Notices and direct Maintenance Helpers as assigned. A Level II will be provided the opportunity to enroll in an Electrical Apprenticeship program, when a slot is available, in order to obtain a Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) license. Obtaining an LME will allow a Level II to work on Electrical components for the Fire Suppression Monitoring System, Overhead Door electrical motors and basic facility wiring.
Job Description
Maintains safe work practices at all times and participatesin safety programs. Assures that safe work practices are followed in all work groups.Abides by all company work, safety, and hygiene rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
Performs routineand/or non-routinechecks and preventive maintenancetasksestablishedby theEngineering Manager, Maintenance Manager,Team LeaderMaintenance, Team Leader Area Production, Team Leader Quality, Team LeaderProductionand the Maintenance Lead.
May berequiredto perform emergency repairs with minimal supervision.
Keepsdocumentationup to date.
Familiar with proper start-up and shut down ofequipmentLocated in and around the roof and other areas of the plant.
Performsequipment repair, overhaul, andtroubleshootingofequipment; changes and replaces belts, sprockets, bearings, chains, motors, etc.
Evaluates equipment for performance, performs adjustments, replaces parts, etc. as needed toassureproper operation.
Performsstructurally-soundwelds and acceptable cutting, usingappropriate cuttingand welding equipment.
May berequiredto work any shift,any and alldays of the week, or overtime intheaccordancewith production and maintenance schedules.
Reads, writes, and communicates in English by using prints, sketches, diagrams, operatinginstructionsand technical manuals.
Maintainsa neat, orderly work area.
Follows instructions given in work logs, work orders, and equipment manuals.
Supports and promotesallfacetsofLamb Weston OperatingCulture(LOC) throughout the plantto include but not limited toVeLOCity,DRA, 5S, AMD, CIL, PMPillarandCenterlining.
Must be able tooperatea forklift andman liftin a safe manner. Requires plant certification.
Give direction and training to lower bracketedMaintenance personnelas needed.
Communicates and works with other associates and salaried personnel in apositivemanner.
Assist with Emergency Procedures &Response to Hazardous Substance Releases including water treatment and refrigerant chemicals.
Conduct Annual inspections of FireAlarm.
Coordinate withFireDepartment as needed.
Provide Corrective (ZM01) and Preventive (ZM03) Maintenance supportfor theLegacyplant,Line 5 and other areas asneeded.
Responsible for recording all Facility Maintenance activities in SAP to include PM completion and Notification generation.
EnsureFire Suppressionsystems,Fire Monitoring systemsand relatedelectricpumps, tanks and dieselpumpenginesare in good workingorder.
Create andsubmitAIG Impairments for anyFire Suppression or Monitoring Systems which are taken out of servicefor Maintenance.
Work with Contractorson Facility projects where outside help is needed to include defining the scope of the project,getting the quoteapprovedand overseeing the work.
AssistWaste WaterTreatment(WWT)with annualtestingof Environmental related Backflow Devices
Support continuous improvement activities tooptimizefacilityperformance and reduceoperatingcosts.
PeriodicallyassistMaintenance and Production by picking up and delivering parts from other plants.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Be able toattaincertification in the following equipment:Forklift,Highlift,Scissorlift, Genie lift,etc.as per plant certification andmaintaincertificationannually.
Musthavegood communicationskills, both written and oral.
Must be able to read,writeand communicate in English.
Ability to applycommonsenseunderstanding to carry out instructionsfurnishedin written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must be able to complete work assignments with limited supervision
Set up and weld mild steel and stainless steel in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions with Arc and MIG welders.
Basic working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Basic knowledge of plant operations and mechanical equipment.
Take an active role in preventive maintenance activities, mechanical repair and modification, identification, scheduling, and implementation.
Proficientatsheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, andpercent.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to lift, push, and pull heavy items.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds six feet above the ground.
Must be able to stand, bend, squat, kneel, reach above shoulders, climb ladders and crawl in tight andawkwardwork placesfor extended periods of time.

May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
