Job Description Summary
The Inventory Analyst supports inventory planning and performance management by analyzing inventory positions, trends, and drivers to improve service, working capital, and inventory health. Sitting within Supply Chain Planning, this role enables data-driven, risk-aware, and digitally enabled inventory insights that support supply, deployment, and IBP decision-making. This role focuses on analysis, monitoring, and issue identification, operating within defined inventory policies and governance.
Job Description
Inventory Analysis & Monitoring
- Monitor inventory levels, coverage, and health across assigned products, locations, or networks
- Analyze inventory drivers including demand variability, supply performance, and planning parameters
- Identify risks such as excess, obsolescence, or service exposure and escalate with supporting data
Inventory Performance Reporting
- Support inventory performance metrics including days of supply, turns, and policy adherence
- Prepare clear inventory storytelling to support supply and IBP discussions
- Maintain inventory dashboards and standard reports
Policy & Parameter Support
- Support inventory policies, safety stock parameters, and replenishment settings
- Validate master data inputs including lead times, lot sizes, and service levels
- Reduce reliance on manual analysis through digitally enabled inventory workflows
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Customer Service, Sales, Supply Planning, Deployment, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams to resolve inventory issues
- Support alignment on inventory assumptions and targets
- Communicate inventory risks and insights clearly and timely
Continuous Improvement & Skill Development
- Leverage planning tools and analytics to improve inventory insight quality
- Perform routine inventory segregation tasks in SAP
- Facilitate special inventory requests and streamline processes to promote efficiency.
- Monitor inventories, provide insights/resources to appropriate workgroups and inspire them to take ownership over process gaps and monitoring.
- Follow standard work and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Build foundational systems thinking and planning capabilities
Scope:
- Analyzes inventory positions impacting service, working capital, and inventory health
- Supports inventory-related decisions across assigned products or locations
- Operates within defined inventory policies and escalation paths
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Education/ Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Finance or related field required
- ASCM inventory or CPIM coursework or certifications a plus
Skills and Experience:
- 1–4 years of experience in Inventory Planning, Supply Chain Analytics, or related roles
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret inventory data and trends
- Working knowledge of inventory metrics, replenishment concepts, and planning parameters
- Ability to communicate insights through clear, concise storytelling
- Comfortable working within structured processes and defined systems
- Demonstrated interest in developing planning and digital capabilities
Physical Environment/Demands:
- Some travel may be required
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
- Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
- Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role is listed below.Pay Rate or Range: $63,160.00 - $94,750.00
