Job Description Summary
As Lamb Weston strives to be the No. One Global Potato Company the focus on customer centricity is a key component to success. Customer Supply Chain provides a differentiated level of service to North American customers and resources dedicated to our top Multinational Chain, Foodservice and Retail accounts.
The Sr Specialist Customer Supply Chain is the primary point of contact for North American customers regarding any communication related to their purchase orders. The primary purpose of this role is to meet or exceed the customer’s expectations pertaining to order activities including order progress and delivery status. In addition, the Sr Specialist will proactively work with internal and external stakeholders to minimize impacts on order deliveries, work to increase service levels and keep constant communication with customers on order status from the time orders are placed until delivery or pick up.
This team partners with the Supply Chain Customer Facing Directors (CFD) on continuous improvement opportunities, and supports Service as Measured by the Customer (SAMBC) initiatives.
Job Description
Provide an exceptional customer experience through positive, friendly, and professional order processing and communication.
Proactively identify any issue impacting order delivery and formulate a proper solution through collaboration with the appropriate Supply Chain team.
Collaborate with Planning, Deployment and Logistics teams to identify alternate delivery opportunities when necessary, supporting Supply Chain ambitions and managing through short term triage needs.
Communicate and work on alternate solutions with customers when inventory is short or delayed.
Initiate escalation workflow for broker freight and provide CFD with value added information on potential brokered loads.
Execute against inventory allocation system to ensure priority customer service levels are achieved.
Communicate order status to the customers in a clear and concise manner supported by customer specific Domo reports.
Work closely with customers to adjust and or change orders to optimize order fulfillment and delivery.
Support CFD during roll out of new items and LTO’s.
Work with CFD and Planning to find solutions for aging inventory.
Assist CFD on SAMBC initiatives.
Work with CFD on continuous improvement projects supporting priority customers.
Serves as the primary customer contact for order queries or order change requests.
Willingness to participate in special project assignments assigned by the Manager.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Education/ Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Supply Chain preferred, or equivalent related experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred • Experience in Supply Chain, Order Management and Customer Service-related roles
Skills and Experience:
- Strong PC skills to include WINDOWS, WORD, EXCEL PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must have excellent communication with both internal and external customers
- Critical thinking to determining the best ways to resolve order issues and meet customers’ expectations
- Time management and work prioritization to ensure all tasks are done in a timely manner
- Experience in Salesforce, SAP, and DOMO, desirable, but not required
Physical Environment/Demands:
- Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
- Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
- Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role is listed below.Pay Rate or Range: $53,640.00 - $80,450.00
