Job Description Summary
The Warehouse Space Planning Analyst is responsible for analyzing, planning, and optimizing warehouse space utilization to support inventory, service, and network efficiency objectives. Sitting within Supply Chain Planning, this role enables data-driven, risk-aware, and outcome-focused space planning decisions by translating inventory and volume forecasts into space requirements and actionable insights. This role operates with increasing independence and accountability, supporting cross-functional decisions related to capacity constraints, inventory positioning, and warehouse strategy.
Job Description
Warehouse Space Planning & Analysis
- Develop and maintain warehouse space plans based on inventory projections, demand variability, and network assumptions
- Analyze space utilization, capacity constraints, and throughput impacts across DCs or warehouses
- Translate inventory and volume changes into end-to-end, system-level space implications
Performance Monitoring & Risk Awareness
- Monitor space utilization, capacity thresholds, and constraint risks
- Enable risk-aware space planning by identifying potential congestion, overflow, or service exposure
- Escalate space-related risks and opportunities with clear supporting data and implications
Integrated Business Planning (IBP) & Network Planning Support
- Support S&OP, IBP, and network discussions with clear space storytelling and scenario analysis
- Evaluate trade-offs between inventory positioning, service levels, and warehouse capacity
- Provide fact-based insights to inform short- and mid-term space decisions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Warehousing, Inventory Planning, Deployment, Transportation, and Supply Planning teams
- Align space assumptions with inventory policies, deployment strategies, and operational constraints
- Drive alignment through structured, systems-thinking discussions
Continuous Improvement & Digital Enablement
- Leverage planning tools, data models, and analytics to improve space planning accuracy and efficiency
- Reduce reliance on manual and spreadsheet-based analysis through digitally enabled workflows
- Contribute to continuous improvement of space planning standards, metrics, and processes

- Owns warehouse space analysis and planning for assigned distribution centers or regions
- Supports space-related decisions impacting service, inventory, and network performance
- Operates independently within defined planning standards and escalation paths
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or related field required.
- Certifications such as ASCM or logistics-related a plus.
Skills and Experience:
- 3–6 years of experience in Warehouse Planning, Inventory Planning, Network Planning, or Supply Chain Analytics
- Strong analytical and systems thinking skills with ability to evaluate space, inventory, and flow interdependencies
- Experience working with warehouse capacity metrics, utilization data, and inventory profiles
- Ability to communicate insights through clear, concise storytelling
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and supporting risk-based planning decisions
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage assigned planning scope

A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role is listed below.Pay Rate or Range: $71,410.00 - $107,110.00
