Job Description Summary
The Tote Attendant position covers a wide variety of tasks requiring work in packaging and warehouse area or other areas as directed by the supervisory or lead personnel.
Job Description
Duties and responsibilities to include the following:
Meet each hour at Pkg. DSC boards to discuss hourly plan vs. Actual variances and implement action plans.
Communicate and confirm plans with Lift Truck Operators / Manifestors and Utilities working in the area
Monitor run around systems and ensure we have adequate blend to keep all machines running at capacity
Perform and oversee Good Manufacturing Practices are followed when filling and empty totes of frozen fries.
Look for and prevent any mixed product and/or foreign material from entering the product blend back or bulk off
Work with Manifest to ensure product is properly coded / labeled
Ensure totes are properly lined and Good Manufacturing Practices are followed
Operate power hand jack.
Operate tote bin dump and strategically blend as daily plans are developed with Team Leaders.
Actively practice and abide by all company work, safety and personal hygiene rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
Periodically inspects Personal Protective Equipment; chemical suit, goggles, face shield, boots and gloves for serviceability. Notify Sanitation Team Leader or Lead if replacement is required.
Maintain good housekeeping in his/her assigned area: Sweep with a broom and/or squeegee, shovel, scrub equipment using scrub brushes and/or pads and scrapers to clean, sanitize and polish equipment using dilute cleaning chemicals, and rinse equipment with high-pressure water and/or air hoses.
Expected to perform / help Utility with duties when out of bulk to blend, and in toting / bulking situations to include the following tasks:
Scrape and remove static product on packaging equipment
Dumps waste barrels in packaging area.
Perform the set up and breakdown of tote bins and pallets.
Properly stack knocked down totes and pallets.
Use foaming equipment to apply cleaning chemicals to equipment.
Rework product (i.e. dump to bulk or bag add back)
Participate in Behavior Based Observations and Hazard ID’s as instructed by Team Leader.
Actively practice and abide by all company work, safety and personal hygiene rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
Maintain good housekeeping in his/her assigned area including following/auditing 5S practices.
Utilize and inspect Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per company policy and notify Sanitation Team Leader, Team Leader or Lead if replacement is required. Per specific customer request, will be required to wear additional PPE.
Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader or Lead personnel

Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Must have specific vision abilities, which include: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Stand or sit in a stationary position to perform duties.
Work Environment

Will regularly work near moving mechanical parts.
Is frequently exposed to sub freezing conditions.
May occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, batter dust, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.
Will regularly work in an environment in which the noise level is loud.
Will regularly work in a Forklift/Pedestrian environment.

Education

A reasonable hourly estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $21.11 - $22.11
