Job Description Summary
Description Summary: Works on the Mashed processing deck, assisting the Mashed Operator with the safe operation of the equipment and sanitation of the area.
Job Description
Individuals in this position must:
Participate in all plant safety programs. Actively engaged in safety, participating in safety programs, engaged in safety activities, perform risk assessments and demonstrating ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members. Must report all incidents, near misses, and any safety concerns.
Know the basic operation of mash process equipment and the ability to start, stop, and clear stoppages for the Ricer, Mixer, Dry Mix System, and ingredient systems for Margarine, Cream Cheese, & Garlic.
Know and follow all lock out/tag out procedures for assigned work area.
Wear all required PPE.
Monitor, maintain daily usage records, and maintain levels of dry mix, margarine, cream cheese, and garlic
Relieve the HL – Mash Packaging for breaks and lunches.
Must be Sanitation qualified and required to participate in weekly mash line cleanups.
Check the SAPP concentration every 2 hours and adjust SAPP addition as needed.
Maintain constant communication with processing operator, QA personnel, Mash Lead, and Supervisor.
Maintain good housekeeping in the area and keep the floors clean during the shift.
Other duties as assigned.

Must be Sanitation qualified
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Language Skills
Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English.
