Job Description Summary
This position is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, rinsing and polishing work stations and production and packaging equipment. This job requires good physical stamina, the ability to perform light to heavy scrubbing, sweeping and rinsing, as well as the ability to follow directions. This position requires being actively engaged in safety, participating in safety programs, engaged in safety activities, requires performing risk assessments and demonstrating ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other Team Members.
Job Description
Prepare and/or mix cleaning and sanitizing chemicals
Use foaming equipment to apply cleaning chemicals to equipment
Scrub equipment using scrub brushes and/or pads to clean, sanitize, and polish equipment using dilute cleaning chemicals
Rinse cleaning chemicals off equipment using a high pressure water hose
Maintain good housekeeping in his/her assigned area: Sweep with a broom and/or squeegee, shovel, scrub using scrub brushes and/or pads and scrapers, and rinse equipment with high pressure water and/or air hoses
Change grader shaker screens in packaging rooms and in prep area when required
Actively engaged in safety, participating in safety programs, safety activities, perform risk assessments and demonstrate ownership as well as leadership in personal safety of other team members. Report all incidents, near misses, and any safety concerns.

Able to have good work performance
Have the ability and willingness to follow directions
Able to effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing
High School Diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Read, understand, and obey all plant rules and practice safety as outlined in the employee handbook
Be conscientious and consistent in his/her work
Practice proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques
Be knowledgeable of the potential hazards and safety procedures associated with the task being performed
Actively practice and abide by all Company work, safety, and personal hygiene rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook
Understand and follow lock out/tag out procedures
Possess a working knowledge of how the equipment works
Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly
Sanitation qualifiedpreferred, but not required.
Physical Demands:
Isrequired to stand, walk on concrete surfaces that are frequently wet due to rinsing equipment and slick areas due to the potato matter, starch, and grease; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear.
Frequently required to climb or balance to reach some areas.
Occasionallyrequired to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; extreme cold and heat.
Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.
The noise level is usually very loud.

A reasonable hourly estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $21.90
