Job Description Summary

Provides guidance and leadership for PLM and QA system. Supports change management at the corporate and plant level. Assists with PLM and QA system projects as needed. Functions autonomously to implement programs within a given functional area of the Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) group. Supports management in the implementation of relevant quality processes and procedures and the daily execution of related activities. Owns the execution of technical objectives related to assigned responsibilities around PLM and QA data systems. Innovates for continuous FSQ improvement. 5 years related experience.

Job Description

Independently implements programs within given functional area of the food safety and quality group under limited supervision. Responsible for supporting the implementation of relevant processes and procedures, and the daily execution of activities related to their functional area.  

Position Responsibilities

  • Gathers and studies data to understand trends and issues to provide input to decisions related to product quality in areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Maintain Legacy QA specifications and maintain current cloud coach process routing and approval of tasks.
  • Create and maintain documentation that is required in SAP for QM and PLM and control the upload into SAP and version history.
  • Create SAP specification data elements and start Evolve process to build material master for every specification and material types.
  • Creates, maintains and assigns inspection plans for the production facilities.
  • Controls the status of specifications.
  • Maintains general and production recipes and BOM synchronization.
  • Maintains packaging material specification and their inclusion in recipes.
  • Manage extensions to production facilities for all specification types.
  • Generates customer specification reports.
  • Validates product information is accurate within SAP and QM systems.
  • Manage regulatory requirements for recipes and label sets within SAP and QM systems.
  • Manage assignment of master inspection characteristics within property tree and quality management modules.
  • Evaluates effectiveness and assures continuous improvement in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Updates department processes and procedures. Performs assigned technical tasks/duties associated with department processes and procedures.
  • Contributes to cross functional teams to assure effective implementation and adherence of FSQ initiatives and process improvement of Lamb Weston.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Business, Manufacturing, Food Science or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience required.
  • Knowledge of food safety, food manufacturing processes, technologies or other relevant area of responsibility.
  • Sound report writing, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of government regulatory requirements in food packaging (GFSI, FSMA, FDA, USDA)

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role is listed below.

Pay Rate or Range: $76,420.00 - $114,640.00
