Job Description Summary
This position will be required to work any shift and/or any day of the week in accordance with production schedules
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.
A. Operates process equipment and performs duties as follows:
1. Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks.
2. Assists packaging operators.
3. Strips out product as necessary.
4. Trims and inspects product.
5. Operate bulk blend back equipment.
6. Snow removal.
7. Assists field samplers.
8. Cleans around work areas; assists sanitation laborers, maintain good housekeeping.
9. Maintains/Promotes safe work practices at all times. Fully participates in daily safety engagement.
10. Fill out, maintain and sign all applicable documentation and administration forms for verification purposes.
11. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
B. Communicate with process operators, sanitation leaders and supervisors as follows:
1. To keep abreast of the current raw product characteristics and trim appropriately.
2. Removes any foreign material found during transfers and inspections, then notifies supervisor immediately if glass, metal and/or any other foreign material is found.
C. Maintain sanitation in the work area as needed
1. Clean work area as determined necessary (using the designated cleaning equipment and supplies as well as a high pressure water hose).
2. Clean plant equipment as assigned during plant clean up.
Training Period:
1. 480 hours without a break in service (probation period).
2. During the probation period the employee must work 14 working shifts as a Sanitation II.
3. During the probation period the employee must work 14 working shifts as a Trim and Inspect

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to accurately complete required documentation and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervision, co-workers and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
CLASSIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must obtain and maintain WHMIS Certification.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
