Job Description Summary
The individual in this position will learn to be able to disassemble, overhaul, and reassemble equipment, including rebuilding and modifying equipment in all areas of their responsibility under the supervision of the Packaging Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Lead, Packaging Mechanics and other qualified maintenance personnel.

- The individual in this position will learn to be able to disassemble, overhaul, and reassemble equipment, including rebuilding and modifying equipment in all areas of their responsibility under the supervision of the Packaging Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Lead, Packaging Mechanics and other qualified maintenance personnel.
- Ensures the capability of efficient operation of all equipment in the process areas by using preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, overhauling and repairing equipment to achieve operational goals.
- Ensure effective communication with team members and other support personnel consistent with operational goals
- Maintain clean and functional work areas and ensure all tools and equipment are returned to their assigned locations
- Professional conduct and appearance required in accordance with job function and Company standards is required, as is confidentiality regarding sensitive issues
- Ensure that all work-related activities within the facility are accomplished in a manner that promotes safety to employees and that minimizes potential impact to the community environment in which we live
- Must be able to work within a team, as well as independently with little to no supervision
- Ensures all maintenance documents are completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Participation on the Confined Space and Ammonia response rescue team after proper training and qualification
- Daily Risk Assessments with maintenance team to ensure risks are recognized and proper course of action is taken to eliminate risks
- Continuous involvement in ALL safety programs
- Supports our plant operations DSC and Daily safety risk assessment meetings
- Obeys and enforces all plant rules and safety practices outlined in employee handbook
- Maintains good housekeeping in maintenance areas throughout the plant
- Performs other functions as directed.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
- Must be able to effectively and accurately read, process and complete work orders
- Must comply with all Company policies and procedures and all safety practices
- Must be able to gather information from operators and manuals and communicate well with all personnel in all departments
- Must have basic math skills (addition, subtraction, fractions and multiplication) to perform measurements, fabrication, timing, conveyor belt speeds and gear ratios on equipment
- Must be able to use written logbooks, plant computer systems, maintenance work orders and supply system
- Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills and knowledge of basic Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under extreme conditions such as hot and cold air, wet environments, hot and cold water, slick floors, and outdoors
- Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, work on catwalks, work in confined areas, maneuver in close quarters and heights
- Must be able to operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, personal lifts and pickup trucks, requiring a valid Washington State driver’s license and all certifications as necessary (training and qualification on forklifts and personal lifts provided internally)
- Must be able to use personal protective equipment, such as hairnets, safety glasses, hearing protection, bump caps, safety harnesses, and abide by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Climb stairs and ladders.
- Work safely and be active in Lamb Weston safety programs
- Work independently with little or no supervision
- Periodically work overtime as required
- Follow company policies and procedures

A reasonable hourly estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $30.31
