Responsible for all maintenance and reliability functions from start to finish to include processing and packaging. Help support and coach the VeLOCity leads and other TM’s to identify and eliminate all causes of failure and ensure base condition and full useful life of all equipment assets on the line. Leads ensure all workers engaged in CIL’s, defect repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.

Job Description

Responsible for all maintenance and reliability functions from start to finish to include processing and packaging.  Help support and coach the VeLOCity leads and other TM’s to identify and eliminate all causes of failure and ensure base condition and full useful life of all equipment assets on the line.  Leads ensure all workers engaged in CIL’s, defect repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.  Provides technical and problem-solving support for the plant and maintenance crews. Coach team members on capturing work using the maintenance log as well as utilizing SAP system. Supports and executes plant specific maintenance strategies to achieve the plants CBN goals and overall maintenance performance KPI’s. Works closely with production to ensure schedules are met and all planned work is completed and communicated in a timely fashion. Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards. Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities. Develop and implement daily job plans and communicate previous days performance against those plans to Maintenance Manager and Reliability Manager. Help support and coach line centric teams and veLOCity standards.

Position Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Supervision

• Directly supervise maintenance mechanics supporting assigned areas.

• Assign daily work, set priorities, and manage Mechanic coverage across both lines.

• Conduct shift huddles, performance discussions, and routine check-ins with the team.

• Enforce all safety standards, including LOTO, PPE, hot work, and safe work procedures.

• Enforce Precision Maintenance practices on all jobs.

• Provide coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to improve Mechanic skill levels.

• Support other Team Leaders across the facility. 

Maintenance Operations

• Ensure timely completion of PMs, PdMs, and corrective maintenance for all equipment in assigned area.

• Review maintenance requests, prioritize based on criticality, and coordinate work to minimize production impact.

• Ensure work orders are accurately completed in the CMMS, including parts, labor, and failure codes.

• Support and guide troubleshooting efforts on mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

• Coordinate maintenance work during planned outages, line changeovers, and shutdowns.

• Support and own Defect Handling in assigned area.

Operational Support & Communication

• Act as the primary maintenance contact for Production Supervisors in the assigned area.

• Communicate equipment status, planned work, and risk areas during daily operations meetings.

• Lead rapid response to breakdowns on either line and ensure proper escalation and documentation.

• Work cross-functionally to balance production priorities with maintenance needs.

• Represent Maintenance as necessary in Leadership meetings. 

Reliability & Continuous Improvement

• Identify reliability risks and lead implementation of corrective actions.

• Participate in and lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.

• Track and report maintenance KPIs such as downtime, MTTR, MTBF, and PM compliance.

• Support 5S, TPM, and other continuous improvement activities to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.

Resource & Materials Management

• Manage parts usage and ensure availability of critical spares for equipment.

• Verify proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and shop resources.

• Supervise contractors performing work on either line to ensure safety and compliance.

• Assist with planning and forecasting maintenance resource needs.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications 

• 5 -10 years industrial maintenance experience, 1-2 years leadership or supervisory responsibilities. 

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills; electrical and controls experience preferred. 

• Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and coordinate maintenance activities across multiple lines. 

• Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance planning processes. 

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role is listed below.Pay Rate or Range: $78,520.00 - $117,790.00
