Job Description Summary
Under the supervision of a Team Leader, this position is responsible for monitoring all Finished Quality Attributes of finished product. They must keep accurate records that portray the real time quality of the product and notify when product quality starts trending and when it is out of grade. These tasks’ will be split between three Lab Techs. Perform all VeLOCity and AMD activities as needed.

SPECIFIC DUTIES
Responsible for checking case code. Responsible for checking case temperature. Responsible for checking fiber tear. Responsible for checking head space. Responsible for checking length. Responsible for checking defects. Responsible for checking for batter balls. Responsible for checking freezer magnet. Responsible for checking Docket. Responsible for checking ingredient statement on case/bag. Responsible for checking bag code. Responsible for checking bag seals. Responsible for checking metal detectors. Responsible for knowing HACCP plan and action. Responsible for checking the Bag Check Weigher. Responsible for checking the Case Check Weigher. Responsible for reconstituting product. Responsible for checking color. Responsible for checking texture. Responsible for checking batter coverage. Responsible for checking solid content. Responsible for checking fats/oils content. Responsible for checking salt content. Responsible for pulling samples for Micro, Corporate, management, Library. Responsible for data entry. Responsible for checking Diamond cuts. Responsible for checking Extreme light weights. Responsible for changing fryer oil. Responsible for cleaning area and maintaining a 5S environment. Need to maintain close communication with Manifestors and Team Leaders. All quality checks must meet the established minimum number of checks established by the Quality Manager. Responsible for maintaining records that accurately portray product quality levels. Must follow all plant and job specific safety duties. Follows all rules in regards to PPE and LOTO. Maintain good personal hygiene. Works weekend cleanups as assigned. May be required to attend Daily Directional Setting (DDS) meetings. Will participate in the QA Lab Peer to Peer meetings at shift change. Must attend one safety huddle per day. Keeps all tools and equipment not in use in their assigned locations. Aides in the training of newer employees as directed by the supervisory staff. Other duties may be assigned by Team Leaders as needed.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Must be able to communicate effectively and understand both verbal and written instructions. Must have a basic mechanical aptitude. Understands basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to move up and down stairs throughout the shift. Must be able to stay on feet for the entire shift.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s work location, job duties, experience and expertise. A reasonable hourly estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $20.87 - $21.37
