Job Description Summary
The Director of Global Security is responsible for developing and ensuring ‘best-in-class’ security programs and processes are in place for the organization. The position will oversee the security programs including physical security and hardware, guard forces, and policies and procedures. The position will ensure compliance with government regulations impacting locations including, but not limited to Department of Homeland Security regulations, Customs and Food and Drug Administration as well as accepted best practices for the protection of the employees, assets and products produced by the organization.
Job Description
- Plans and implements security programs to ensure secure work environment and international supply chain.
- Work closely with Environmental, Health, and Safety to ensure employee safety and security.
- Interfaces directly with functional and operations platform Vice Presidents to ensure security of personnel, assets, and products produced by the company.
- Administers and maintains the United States Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program and oversees compliance by international business partners.
- Provides guidance, planning, and approval for physical security improvements.
- Coordinates activities and investigations with local, regional, national, and international law enforcement agencies.
- Lead and manage regional security teams and third-party security providers across all global locations.
- Oversee physical security programs, including access control, surveillance, and emergency response.
- Direct executive protection and travel security programs for senior leadership.
- Monitor global threats and geopolitical risks; provide actionable intelligence to stakeholders.
- Lead crisis management and business continuity planning and response.
- Collaborate with legal, HR, IT, and facilities teams to ensure integrated risk management.
- Manage security budgets, vendor contracts, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with international, federal, and local security regulations and standards.
- Serve as the primary liaison with law enforcement and government security agencies.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, International Relations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, or intelligence, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a company with multiple locations.
- Experience managing global security operations in a multinational organization.
- Strong knowledge of threat assessment, and crisis management.
- Experience and working knowledge of physical security requirements and hardware, including some technical knowledge of camera and access control systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
- Analytical / comprehensive approach to problems
- Ability to travel internationally up to 50%.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
- Physical Security Professional (PSP)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- FEMA ICS/NIMS training

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $142,910.00 - $214,360.00
