Job Description Summary

The Farm Operations Lead runs the transload operations at planting, harvest, and helps out where needed in all aspects of potato operations. This person reports to the Potato Department Manager of Ag Operations.

Job Description

Supervises the potato crew during the seed cutting operations and transload.

Oversees the piling of potatoes in storage.

Maintains equipment (i.e., potato pilers, dirt eliminators) and seed cutting equipment.

Orders parts for equipment repairs.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Less than high school education, or a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to two years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Driver’s license.

Electrical experience preferred.

Performs routine maintenance on equipment and determines when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
