Job Description Summary

The primary function of this position is to set-up and monitor the line fryers, maintain ingredient and oil levels, in a timely manner, observing all safety regulations and ensuring all GMP and quality standards are met and to maintain the efficient flow of product through the production process. It will be their responsibility (under the direction of supervisory and lead personnel) to ensure that acceptable product quality levels are attained and maintained. During downtime periods, cleaning all equipment in accordance with established cleaning procedures.

Job Description

Primary responsibility includes the area on the assigned line from the Peeling to Precool within an area operator work group.

• Achieves maximum production and assures an adequate supply of product and processing additives by ongoing communications with Leads, Supervisors, and forklift operators.

• Assures that the proper product specifications are maintained while minimizing waste by continually monitoring the quality attributes of the product.

• Maintain required production and QA records and assure that all paperwork is correct and turned into the lead, supervisor or shift manager at the end of the shift.

• Assures quality of product by continual observation of the assigned line, and performing necessary adjustments:

• Assure conformance with Health and Safety Regulations by:

• Strictly following Lock Out / Tag Out Procedures on all equipment.

• Strictly following Personal Protective Equipment Requirements set forth in training.

• Assure conformance with food safety sanitation standards by:

• Keeping area clean and walkways free of stagnant products, water puddles, and debris.

• Cleaning floors and equipment during breaks, or whenever possible

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

• Must have basic math and computer skills.

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Must complete “Lock-out / Tag-out” training. 

• Must complete Confined Space training where required.

• Must know MSDS information regarding all materials used within the scope of the work.

• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.

• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform the job.

• Must meet the company performance standards for the job.

• Must participate in company orientation and training.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must be able to follow instructions.

• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.

• Must be able to adapt to temperature changes.

• Heat / 99°F or above (inside)

• Cold  / 40° or below  (inside)
