Job Description Summary
The Vice President of Supply Chain Strategy is a visionary leader responsible for shaping and executing the enterprise-wide supply chain strategy. This role drives transformation across cost, service, and agility levers, leveraging advanced analytics, global process ownership, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable business value. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in supply chain design, data-driven decision-making, and customer-centric innovation, with a proven track record of influencing executive stakeholders and leading strategic initiatives.
Job Description
- Define and evolve long-term global supply chain strategies aligned with corporate goals and business model shifts
- Identify transformation opportunities across cost, service, and agility, with a focus on end-to-end integration
- Build and lead global analytics teams to enable data transparency, KPI standardization, and predictive insights
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives for executive decision-making
- Lead cost modeling and profitability diagnostics across product, channel, and customer segments
- Drive network design/redesign initiatives including footprint rationalization and make/buy decisions
- Establish global standards and best practices for core supply chain processes (e.g., S&OP, Customer Operation, End to End Planning, Network Optimization)
- Design and implement Centers of Excellence for governance, capability building, and process innovation
- Transform Customer Operations through globally aligned models to balance cost, scalability, and service
- Align senior leadership and cross-functional teams on strategic priorities and complex trade-offs
- Present and gain alignment with C-suite and Board-level stakeholders on transformation journeys
- Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, and Operations to co-lead enterprise initiatives such as working capital improvement and customer segmentation
- Champion simplification, automation, and standardization to drive agility and sustainable performance
- Lead digital transformation initiatives that enhance supply chain capabilities and customer value
- Apply industry expertise in food, agriculture, or consumer products, with a strong understanding of retail and foodservice channels
- Tailor supply chain strategies to deliver differentiated service levels and enhance customer experience
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain strategy, operations, or transformation roles.
- Preference for a background in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, manufacturing and/or food industry.
- Proven leadership in global supply chain strategy development and execution.
- Proven success in strategic sourcing, global logistics, and inventory management.
- Exposure to global markets, technology integration, and risk management.
- Excellent understanding of cost structures, budgeting, and ROI analysis.
- Strong analytical, communication, and executive influencing skills.
- High emotional intelligence, executive presence, and stakeholder influence skills.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in matrixed environments.
- Familiarity with digital tools, analytics platforms, and supply chain technologies.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $224,900.00 - $337,350.00
