Job Description Summary
This position coordinates the inventory activities for shipping, production supplies, and finished goods. Ensures tight control of inventory from the time the product is ordered through production issue and consumption. Works closely with purchasing to ensure inventory accuracy, supporting the timely reorder of materials needed for production. Performs daily reconciliation process of all production and shipping transactions to prepare and roll up to finance and corporate reporting. Collaborates with Production to facilitate required adjustments to the production schedule and procure all necessary materials and ingredients when needed.
Job Description
- Ensure proper reporting of inventory through verifying physical inventories to ensure system accuracy, FIFO of both ingredients and shipped goods, rectifying ticket transaction discrepancies, completing inventory adjustments, wasted product, and reconciling inventory data from multiple systems.
- Performs cycle counts and investigates inventory discrepancies, driving to 100% inventory accuracy.
- Accurately enters incoming loads into Manifest/ASI/SAP and creates bill of lading for outgoing loads.
- Organizes physical and digital records to be easily assessable for future use in the organization.
- Reports Energy and water usage to Environmental Team Leader.
- Performs daily reconciliation on finished product between 3PL and plant.
- Will reconcile MII errors as needed for dry supplies and finished product.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Skills and Experience:
- 1-3 years experience in Inventory Management, specifically in Food Processing/Warehousing preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve, think critically, partner with cross functional teams to drive to root cause, and ensure data accuracy.
- Excellent PC skills, including Windows, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills.
Physical Environment/Demands:
- Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
- Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
- Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature
- Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 8 hours per work day to include: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies
- Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.
- Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
- Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.Ability to operate work related equipment
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $38,380.00 - $57,570.00
